Raffle Rules
By purchasing a raffle ticket, the purchaser agrees to these Official Raffle Rules and any rules specifically posted for that raffle.
1. Age Requirement
You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase raffle tickets or participate in a Junior VFD raffle.
JVFD reserves the right to require valid identification or other documentation to verify a purchaser's or winner's age and eligibility.
2. Ticket Sales Are Final
All raffle ticket purchases are considered final.
Raffle tickets are non-refundable except when:
• A refund is approved by Junior VFD;
• Junior VFD cancels the applicable raffle; or
• A refund is otherwise required by applicable law.
Approval of a refund is at the discretion of Junior VFD unless otherwise required by law.
3. Tickets Are Non-Transferable
RAFFLE TICKETS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE AND MAY NOT BE RESOLD.
The individual identified as the purchaser or ticket holder in Junior VFD's records will be considered the official entrant associated with that ticket.
JVFD may refuse to recognize any unauthorized sale, resale, transfer, assignment, or attempted transfer of a raffle ticket.
4. Winner Does Not Need to Be Present
Unless specifically stated otherwise for an individual raffle, you do not need to be present to win.
Junior VFD will make reasonable efforts to contact the winning participant using the contact information associated with the winning ticket or purchase.
Purchasers are responsible for providing accurate and current contact information.
5. Prize Claim Deadline
All prizes must be claimed within 30 calendar days after Junior VFD announces or provides notice of the winner, unless a different deadline is specifically stated for that raffle or applicable law requires otherwise.
If a winner fails to claim the prize within the required period, the prize may remain the property of Junior VFD, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Junior VFD may require identification, eligibility verification, tax information, signatures, or other documentation before releasing a prize.
6. Raffle Drawing
Unless otherwise stated in the rules for a particular raffle, Junior VFD intends to conduct the raffle drawing after all available tickets have been sold.
The drawing may be conducted live and may be broadcast or streamed through Junior VFD's website, social media accounts, or another announced platform.
The method used to determine the winner will be administered by Junior VFD in accordance with applicable laws and requirements governing the raffle.
7. Regulated Prizes
If a raffle prize consists of a regulated item, product, or other good subject to federal, state, or local restrictions, the winner must satisfy all applicable legal requirements before receiving the prize. This may include, where applicable:
• Minimum-age requirements;
• Identity verification;
• Background checks;
• Required forms or documentation;
• Licensing or permit requirements;
• Transfer requirements; and
• Any other federal, state, or local legal requirements.
Winning a raffle does not waive or override any legal requirement applicable to possession, ownership, transfer, registration, pickup, or delivery of the prize.
If a winner is legally prohibited from receiving a regulated prize, the disposition of the prize will be handled by Junior VFD in accordance with applicable law and the specific rules of the raffle.
8. Raffle Cancellation
Junior VFD reserves the right to cancel a raffle when reasonably necessary, including when ticket sales substantially slow or cease, an operational or technical issue occurs, the raffle cannot lawfully proceed, or circumstances outside Junior VFD's reasonable control prevent completion of the raffle.
If Junior VFD cancels a raffle without conducting the drawing, JVFD will refund eligible raffle ticket purchases associated with the cancelled raffle, subject to applicable law and payment-processing requirements.
9. Errors and Technical Issues
Junior VFD reserves the right to correct clerical, technical, payment-processing, website, or ticketing errors. A payment submission does not necessarily constitute a valid raffle entry until the payment has been successfully processed and the entry has been recorded by Junior VFD.
JVFD may void or correct duplicate, fraudulent, unauthorized, improperly issued, or otherwise invalid entries when reasonably necessary to preserve the integrity of the raffle.
10. Winner Verification
All potential winners are subject to verification by Junior VFD.
A person is not considered the final confirmed winner until Junior VFD has verified the winning ticket and determined that all applicable eligibility and prize requirements have been satisfied.
